The popular photo magazine JPG, which was pronounced dead a few days ago is being sought after by a few bidders amongst which Flickr and SmugMug stand out. The natural fit would be with the former since Heather Champ, who blogs and is a part of the staff there was one of the magazine co-founders.

I find myself pulling for SmugMug for the simple reason that they’re super-profitable and I don’t think you can say the same about Yahoo-owned Flickr.
